What is the reason for the depression? Some old impact craters on Earth have a ring, filled with water. For example Manicouagan and Siljan. A structure on Mars, similar to the Pool Malebo, is shown here: HRSCview data explorer. -- Zumthie (talk) 22:15, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
