There seem to be more spellings of the man's name than information about his life. My instinct was to go with Ponsa because the Anglophone historian most frequently cited in this article used that spelling, and to put the others into brackets in the lead. Agree, I support Ponsa too. In his bulls, Pope Gregory called him with this name variant (source: Ternovácz 2017, p. 256.), so it is more widespread. In Hungarian charters, he mostly appears as "Pousa" (in modern orthography Pósa), which is a native, and by now a forgotten, variant of the name Paul, see another medieval Hungarian figures, e.g. Pousa, son of Sólyom and Pousa Bár-Kalán.
