Pondwell appears in red on a List of places on the Isle of Wight page on wikipedia. Therefore I assume that an article is being asked for which is why I wrote it. However in common with other names upon the list, there is very little to be said about a small place which consists of about a dozen houses. The fact that it hads a pub and a zoo makes it rather more remarkable than other places on the list such as Bierley (a farm) or Marks Corner (half a dozen houses by Parkhurst Forest). It is not even on a bus route. My source for it is that I have visited it myself reasonably often, but there are very few written references to Pondwell apart from guides to the Seaview Wildlife Encounter--Streona (talk) 12:58, 8 June 2008 (UTC).Reply
