How many genera?

[edit]

Recent edit by 65.93.74.59 changed the genera number to 40. I'm not sure this is right since one paper I read titled "Cytology of Some Genera of Polypodiaceae in Eastern India" by G. PANIGRAHI & S. N. PATNAIK in Nature 191, 1207 - 1208 (16 September 1961); quoted more than 65 genera. If this has since changed a source should be provided to support the change.Chhe (talk) 15:43, 30 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Merge/clarify

[edit]

We are using PPG I for the article titles and taxoboxes. Polypodioideae sensu lato is the same taxon as Polypodiaceae sensu PPG I, which is the primary topic of this article. We have articles on taxa, not taxon names. So overlap between the two articles needs to be sorted out, which I am trying to do. Peter coxhead (talk) 10:30, 30 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Done It turned out that it wasn't really a merge, more a question of re-working each article so that they clearly referred to the PPG taxon. Both need some expansion. Peter coxhead (talk) 13:09, 30 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
