ambiguity

Does

$\log ^{3}x\,$

mean

$\log \log \log x\,$

or does it mean

${\displaystyle (\log x)^{3}{\text{$ ?}}\,}

The phrasing of the first paragraph seems to imply the latter, but the former is in some respects more respectable conventional understanding of notation. If the last meaning was intended, then I think it should be written that way. Michael Hardy (talk) 19:06, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
