Consumer products
[edit]One of the primary reasons I imagine people will be searching for the word "carbomer" is because it is included in the ingredients of many consumer products. Can someone address the physical characteristics, properties, uses, and safety issues of carbomers? I've seen it classified as a thickener, I don't know much more about it.

Physical Properties
[edit]This section is too vague. Clarify if sodium salt of PAA is really the the commercial powder form. If it is, provide a citation. Perhaps it refers to formulations mixed with additives improving dispersion, in which case this should be stated. SDS for pure PAA that I found says it is up to 100% content. Inconsistent formatting
[edit]The article title is "Polyacrylic acid" but the first line of the article calls it "poly(acrylic) acid." One or the other should be chosen for consistency, preferably by someone with some expertise in this field. 50.217.86.106 (talk) 18:56, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
