Tower Beach is the site of former submarine watchtowers and gun emplacements, while the UBC campus was, before it became the location of the university, CFB Point Grey during World War II.

In fact, the University was at Point Grey from 1925, more than a decade before WW II. This type of inaccuracy has been planted throughout Wikipedia and some people take time to make changes. Bylaws

Currently the article contains this assertion:

The name Point Grey is taken from the City of Point Grey that was merged into the city of Vancouver. It was known for initiating the first zoning bylaws in Canada which effectively made new apartment buildings illegal.

It raises questions: When was it merged into Vancouver? What source can be cited for "first zoning bylaws in Canada" and suppression of construction of apartment buildings? Eye-catching assertions such as this one require backup to reassure dubious readers. — Rgdboer (talk) 20:35, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
