illusion perception bit

[edit]

The 2nd half of the illusion perception paragraph seems wrong, isn't it meant to say they choose the smaller plate more, because it looks like there is more food on the smaller plate, thus they are fooled by the illusion, hence they perceive the illusion. It currently states they pick the smaller plate because they realise a bigger plate doesn't always mean more food, implying that they are able to decrypt the illusion, but I think this is back to front.

I.e - humans perceive the Delboeuf illusion, when we see the dot with a big circle around it next to the normal dot of same size, we think the normal dot (small plate) is bigger, thus we choose the smaller plate because it seems like there is more, because we do indeed perceive the illusion. And that's exactly what the Pogona does, it sees the smaller plate, and the optical illusion fools them into thinking that there is more food on that plate, hence they perceive the illusion.

Other animals don't perceive the illusion and they pick the plates 50/50.
