Hi there! Unlike a journal article, the purpose of the references on Wikipedia pages is not to cite the most important groundbreaking research articles in a field. In fact, following WP:MEDRS, it's almost the opposite: we want to provide reliable secondary sources such as review articles so that readers can confirm the accuracy of the contents on the Wikipedia page. Moving page

The current page name, PDPN, is the HUGO gene symbol, which is ok, but following MOS:MCB, it seems preferable to move the page to the uniprot recommended protein name: "Podoplanin". This name has the added benefits of having about twice Google scholar hits and making disambiguation easier, so I will try to move it. Pabnau (talk) 04:51, 22 September 2026 (UTC)
