Track laying
[edit]A podger is the name of the tool used to tighten the bolts in the fish plates between individual piece of track. It is indeed a type of spanner or wrench. Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 20:36, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

[edit]A 'Podger spanner' is a subset of the more generic 'Podger', a tapered bar used for bringing holes in mating parts into alignment, usually for fitting a fastener. Globbet (talk) 22:12, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
