Thanks for inquiring. Alga is the singular, algae the plural. It's not a typo, but since the plurals are more familiar, and the groups are of multiple species, let's use the plurals, it works well. Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:55, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
