[edit]A military jargon term which unfortunately has no article of its own, but can be found without further explanation in several wikipedia articles. --BjKa (talk) 10:26, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Place → Place (disambiguation) – And redirect to Location. This page is currently tagged as an unwritten broad-concept article, but it seems like the broad-concept article already exists at Location. That article isn't in very good condition, but that's neither here nor there. {{GearsDatapacks|talk|contribs}} 14:27, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose There is also "place" in the sense of social status or position, such as "know your place", and metaphorically one's "place in the world". It's better defined as a kind of position than a location in the geographical sense. The geography meaning doesn't seem to be an obvious primary topic, and this nomination feels like what the nominator assumed was the primary topic. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 15:56, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose Per Zxcvbnm. To me, the first sentence in his argument implies that we should have a broad-concept article instead. 1isall (talk | contribs) 17:00, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

- It's certainly possible, though whether we do or not, it's too vague in my opinion to merit a primary redirect. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 19:08, 23 April 2026 (UTC)

- I'm not sure how this would be an improvement. If we look at whether readers currently go there - like with WikiNav for Place, it seems quite rare. There's a huge amount of other-empty traffic that doesn't make a lot of sense, but even if we ignore that and just compare the incoming clickstreams from other-search and the outgoing clickstreams to location, it's not a great fit. --Joy (talk) 07:44, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
