• Oppose There is also "place" in the sense of social status or position, such as "know your place", and metaphorically one's "place in the world". It's better defined as a kind of position than a location in the geographical sense. • I'm not sure how this would be an improvement. If we look at whether readers currently go there - like with WikiNav for Place, it seems quite rare. There's a huge amount of other-empty traffic that doesn't make a lot of sense, but even if we ignore that and just compare the incoming clickstreams from other-search and the outgoing clickstreams to location, it's not a great fit. --Joy (talk) 07:44, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
