Spelling pipérade/piperade

[edit]

Why does the title of this article have an accent on the first E? There is no accent on the word in any of the languages of the region where this dish comes from (Basque, Occitan, French, Spanish), and there is no native accent in English. I see from the history that it was originally "Piperade" but someone changed it to "Pipérade".

I'd like to change it back. Any objections?

I don't have any particular objections, but it doesn't seem uncommon to have the accent in French anyhow:

I know there are many mistakes in the French-speaking world too! Anyway, I've done the move. Páraic Maguire 12:22, 30 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
