Pionus tumultuosus seniloides

[edit]

Is Pionus tumultuosus seniloides a subspecies with the nominate Pionus tumultuosus tumultuosus? or are there two species? Snowman 11:07, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Check out this page at the Pionus Breeder's Association - . Some people prefer to treat it as a subspecies, others prefer to treat it as a separate species because they're just not sure yet. Flummery 17:36, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think the wiki-page mirrors the uncertainty over the status of Pionus tumultuosus seniloides. Good reference, I will add it to the page. I wonder what other references say. The wiki-page can updated when more is known about these birds. Snowman 18:43, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
