Usage of the term Pinoy

[edit]

This part of the article explains that the term Pinoy was used by the network to emphasize that the show is a Philippine version. Most didn't understand why Pinoy was included in every title of ABS-CBN's franchise shows. It's not a matter of who first used the term but why they used the term.

Such statement reeks of original research, which is not allowed in Wikipedia. Unless ABS-CBN (or any other notable publisher) released such statement that they are using the word Pinoy as "part of their tradition" or that they use such term to emphasize that it is a Philippine version of a foreign franchise, then it would be acceptable.
