Worship in Elam

[edit]

The fourth paragraph mentions the "Napratep gods" with a footnote, but gives no explanation for them. They are not linked to another page, and a quick search on Wikipedia doesn't turn up any obvious page about them (most of the pages in the search results don't contain the word Napratep" at all).

Anyone know anything about them and can maybe add a Note or something? Mastakos (talk) 18:13, 25 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

There isn't enough for an article. They don't even have an entry in RlA. Potts 1999 translates the name as "protectors" based on a 1987 N.A.B.U. note. Both inscriptions mentioning them are translated in the same author's Elamite Temple Building (appendix, p. 494), nothing about their character can be inferred from them.
