Correction to Technology section

[edit]

The previous version described a special head with its gap oriented 90 degrees from the audio head(s). From familiarity with the physics of magnetic recording, I understood this to be unworkable.

I did some web searching, and found a page on Nagra (http://chambinator.free.fr/english/kudelsus.htm) that clearly explains a system that does indeed make sense, and which I took to be factual.

I have revised the Technology section, in accordance with the information I found.

Pilottone, Pilotone, Pilot tone, or PILOTTON??

[edit]

I did some searching and couldn't find any authoritative conclusion for one way or the other. Is there a "correct" and citable spelling? Binba (talk) 03:05, 14 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
