Swapping of hats

[edit]

I looked at the hat on this page it seems to me to be a halo hat – I'm currently writing the page on halo hat. I've replaced it with a more suitable picture, but will also try to expand this page and perhaps add further images. Libby norman (talk) 15:08, 14 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

This is now infilled to provide more context, images and references. I've mentioned its alternative names of Gainsborough hat and garden hat – both are referenced – and linked it back to Cartwheel hat and Halo hat as I think there is enough crossover for people to perhaps want to look at the articles together. Certainly the use of 'picture hat' is quite vague from the old newspapers I've looked at (i.e. a big hat with some trimmmings!). I've moved it from stub up to C class to reflect the fact it is now in better shape and more fully referenced and illustrated. Libby norman (talk) 11:27, 21 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
