Pickwick is Back!

I recently bought several CDs released by them, Including 3 which are obviously re-issues of 70's recordings. Why they have re-released those "Top of the Pops" recordings, I don't know, But I think that their revival should be noted in the article. I would add it myself, But I don't have very good writing skills. BTW, I don't work for them, I'm just a fan of budget CDs. Retro Agnostic (talk) 10:38, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Mr. Pickwick

How come there is no mention of the "Mr. Pickwick" label here? There were lots of children's records released on this label in the UK, generally 7" EPs with four tracks as I remember. I don't know anything about it, except I had a few Mr. Pickwick records as a kid, but just surprised it's not even mentioned in the article. 86.141.40.67 (talk) 19:29, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Handlemans?

Wasn't pickwick bought by Handleman Co in 1983 (or is that a different pickwick). NB Handlemans themselves went into liquidation in 2008/2009. http://www.handleman.com/history.htm excerpt (since link may go soon)

High Water

I don't have a source in front of me, but I've read many times that the Pickwick Beach Boys' compilation "High Water" sold so well that it caused Capitol Records to take renewed interest in the Beach Boys' back catalog, leading to the hugely popular Capitol compilation "Endless Summer", which both re-launched the Beach Boys' career and locked them into being an "oldies" act.  Done The source musiclandgroup.com/timeline/ does prove the merger in 1968. While it is an official company source, Wikipedia often prefer independent news or historical archives. To make sure the citation isn't challenged, I've paired it with the St. Louis Park Historical Society records, which provide independent verification of the Heilicher brothers' deal with Pickwick.
