A petiole is not a phyllode (although a phyllode is a specialised petiole). I am deleting this redirect MargaretRDonald (talk) 19:34, 10 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

A redirect to petiole might be appropriate if it directed to the relevant part of the article. However, in my view, botanical terms should NOT have long articles, but rather, short definitional articles, because a person linking to phyllode or petiole probably simply wants a simple (illustrated) definition MargaretRDonald (talk) 20:25, 10 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
