Article additions

[edit]

I have added a significant portion of text (4 paragraphs) to the article which introduces the concept of optogenetics. All of my additions branch off of the information and ideas already presented in the original article.

My edits focused on giving some background information on optogenetics and summarizing its future implications. I felt these were important to elaborate on, as the article title is Photostimulation and optogenetics is a specific type of photostimulation that has become a widely accepted/practiced technique in recent years and continues to have a growing presence in the field of scientific research.

I made no changes to anything previously written. In total, 5 sources/citations were added to the page.
