Add to table

I would like to see upper and lower wavelengths added to the first table to give a quicker idea of what is covered. Are there any other points of view? 02:29, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Misleading/confusing information.

This page has inaccuracies. The 2.2m telescope at La Silla is an optical telescope, and hence it does not have infrared filters. CTIO hosts several telescopes, both optical and infrared. G filter

The Gaia space telescope also uses 'G' to describe its very broad Gaia band. It's worth adding this to the table so that people don't automatically associate it with the green G. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.15.109.254 (talk) 12:23, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

OMG, what a mess. So far as I know "G", in upper case, was never used as a photometric filter, certainly not a widely-accepted one as described in the intro to the table. Lower case g was used, but that's in a different photometric system, which the table completely mixes up. I'm going to just comment out the G entry, but this table needs much more work than that. Same source has been mentioned twice under reference and footnotes section. The reference is: Standard Photometric System by Bessell 2005.
