Notes on source wording

[edit]

I checked the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum sources again and wanted to leave a couple of notes here for future reference.

The sentence removed in this edit is supported by both the Japanese and English versions of the museum's exhibition page. Both name Photo Times and Asahi Camera and say that their gravure pages and features on overseas photographers introduced the work of Eugène Atget and Man Ray.

The edit summary for this edit describes the English-language source as "equivalent" to the Japanese sources. The English press release is not a complete translation of the Japanese one, however, and there are differences in wording and detail, including some translation errors. For example, the Japanese magazine title Cameraman (『カメラマン』) is given as Camera in the English version.

With that in mind, I’m going to go through the article again and check the wording against the sources.

Just leaving this here as a note for future edits. Fontana2026 (talk) 18:39, 6 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
