Why on earth is phosphorous pointing to Phosphorous acid? It should point to the article on the element, Phosphorous.

My take on it is that redirects from misspellings, though useful, are subordinate to legitimate meanings of the word. Our redirect structure should not presume that people can't spell. I would allow that there's room for reasonable disagreement on this point, but I just find it a bit, I don't like to overuse this word, but almost offensive to redirect-from-misspelling when we can instead use a target based on what the word actually means.
(Just in case you weren't aware, the correct spelling for the element is phosphorus. Writing phosphorous for the element is not an alternative spelling; it's a flat spelling error.) --Trovatore (talk) 23:52, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
