The article is factually wrong

[edit]

The article states in the first sentence that Philips "[...] is a Dutch multinational health technology and former consumer electronics company owned by the Dutch government [...]".

The claim that Philips is owned by the Dutch government is factually wrong. Philips is not and has never been owned by the Dutch government, but is a Dutch multinational, publicly traded corporation. This can easily be confirmed on the investor relations page on the company website. ~2025-32995-72 (talk) 11:26, 12 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

On § Country and Language

[edit]

I am wholly confused by the existence of this section, believe it adds nothing to the article, and propose its removal. Further, it is unclear even what the section describes, as there is no associated prose.

There is clearly some demand for its removal as it has been attempted multiple times.

If users User:~2025-39615-52, User:~2025-34936-51 and User:~2025-39204-98 (the section's primary contributors, as far as I can gather) would care to explain the purpose of the section, it'd be much appreciated. They may no longer have access to these temporary accounts, however.

Disagree with removing the section simply because of the "I don't like it" argument. Support giving context to the section. NotJamestack (✉️|📝) 00:44, 15 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
What context is there to give to that section? I can't even see any discernible meaning or purpose to it being on this article. Like what's the section trying to convey within the context of the article? Black Ep (talk) 10:24, 15 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Remove: This section doesn't add any encyclopedic value to the article, as it is simply a list of various countries and languages spoken in those countries. The three anonymous users who repeatedly added this section to the article had no contributions to any other articles, and I suspect that this is either vandalism or a very confused user. It has been over a month since it was first added to the article, and its creator(s) have had plenty of time to add context or reason to keep this section.
Seeing as there is no good reason to keep this section, I have removed it from the article. -Ahuman00 (talk) 18:33, 29 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
