The species list is complete according to the most recent list of accepted names , there are only 36 species (55 may include those moved to Vigna?). Which 5 species are domesticated?--nixie 00:59, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I found an article at Purdue which lists P. vulgaris, P. lunatus, P. coccineus, P. acutifolius, and ... P. polyanthus, which is not on our list here.
FWIW, the article also mentions the number 55 for the whole genus. Pekinensis 03:23, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Seven new Mexican species were described in 2000, they don't appear on the ILDIS list yet. It still doesn't add up to 55, so I'm going to remove the number for now. --nixie 03:40, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)
P. polyanthus is Phaseolus coccineus L. subsp. darwinianus --nixie 03:51, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)
