Peter Kyle (politician) → Peter Kyle – Footballer is a stub. Unreal7 (talk) 14:02, 25 May 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. Dekimasuよ! 18:06, 1 June 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose. Political figure with with no international renown. Not WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 16:36, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. Agree with Spinner, he is not well known at all even in the UK. Govindaharihari (talk) 18:43, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose - WP:NOPRIMARY per above. -- Netoholic @ 22:32, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support. There's only two of them and between them the politician is the overwhelming WP:Primary topic. No point in having a dab page in a WP:TWODABS situation like this. (It has nothing to do with one article being a stub, though, which it isn't anyway.) Station1 (talk) 21:33, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support - As above for support and I would like to add that Peter Kyle (politican) has more wikilinks (as per Special:WhatLinksHere) than Peter Kyle (footballer). The Politican also has 3 other articles on other wikipedias (french, german and chinese), wheras the footballer only has a hebrew article ( and ). By these two points and also the pageviews being higher for the politican, I would argue that the politican does meet WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Dreamy Jazz (talk) 13:49, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support. Clear primary topic in terms of historical importance, and gets nearly twenty times the page views as the other subject. bd2412 T 18:22, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

Instigated police raid on constituent, and forced to pay her legal fees
[edit]As has been reported, Peter Kyle presented emails from Claire Kerrison to the police (which alluded to the genocide in Gaza) who staged an early morning raid on her property last year.
The case against Kerrison fell apart as the prosecution missed their deadlines, and were not granted an adjournment. Kyle has also been ordered to pay Kerrison's legal fees.
I would argue this is extremely pertinent information that will no doubt impact Kyle at the next general election.

Bias
[edit]This paragraph seems to describe an event using the same perspective that Kyle himself would have of the event being described and does so in a way which presents Kyle's opinions of the event (the idea that attempting to convince an MP not to vote for a war, by sending a picture that illustrates the reality of war, should be considered harassment) are factual:
"In December 2015, Kyle voted in favour of the United Kingdom carrying out targeted air strikes against Islamic State in Syria. He was subsequently the subject of harassment and intimidation by anti-war activists who sent him a picture of a dead baby. In response he said, "People have put deep thought and a lot of anguish into this decision and are taking a very principled stance. We need to have respect for each other's views on this".
I do not therefore believe that this matches the objective encyclopedic tone of wikipedia, as it presents opinion as fact. ~2026-37685-09 (talk) 02:15, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
