Jason Bourne was named after Peter Bourne (Need reference)
[edit]Apparently, Robert Ludlum got the names of his characters from the newspaper. At the time Ludlum was writing The Bourne Identity , Dr. Bourne was in the paper a lot. Dr. Bourne told me personally that he confirmed this with Ludlum.
