Academia Peruana de la LenguaPeruvian Academy of Language – The article covers a Peruvian institution and should follow English naming conventions for Wikipedia in English. The article has now been fully updated and expanded. Blas2025wiki (talk) 17:19, 1 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

  • Not opposed, but I'm looking at Category:Spanish language academies and thinking WP:CONSISTENT. All or none? Moscow Mule (talk) 17:06, 4 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
On WP:CONSISTENT — absolutely, let's be consistent: all academies in Category:Spanish language academies should use English titles on the English Wikipedia. That is precisely what consistency demands. Furthermore, titling these articles in Spanish actively harms their visibility. No English-speaking reader will search "Academia Peruana de la Lengua" on the English Wikipedia — they will search "Peruvian Academy of Language". If these institutions want global reach and international recognition, English titles on the English Wikipedia are not just preferable, they are necessary. Thanks for raising this point, @Moscow Mule: — it's an important discussion for the consistency of the whole category. Blas2025wiki (talk) 18:40, 4 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
