Peromyscus?

Commonly refered to as the Deer mouse is the way the article leads off than why the hell does the article have the name Peromyscus which is a scientiffic name and not the WP:COMMONNAME articles are suppose to be in common form this is not a scientific journal it is an encyclopedia for the average reader!?--Wikiscribe (talk) 17:15, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

As Pests?

Around here (here being Madison, WI) deer mice are the main rodent pests, at least outside of the city center (in the city, you might get rats). I have lived my entire life here and never had a house mouse turn up in a mousetrap. Short-tailed shrews, certainly, but the only mice we seem to have are Peromyscus. Could someone add a section to the article about these animals as pests? Sumanuil (talk) 01:25, 13 February 2018 (UTC)
