Recteco Picture

So I added an image showing how to calculate the perimeter of a rectangle. Do we need more diagrams? --Thinboy00 @196, i.e. 03:42, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

It would be nice to have an image of a general polygon and/or a general path. Unfortunately I have some problems with LaTeX in Inkscape so I won't be adding these soon. I think we're fine for now, though. Rename to perimeter length

analogous to separate surface and surface area; there is not much information here about the perimeter shape or outline. fgnievinski (talk) 18:25, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

Removed poor definition

This definition removed $\int _{0}^{L}\mathrm {d} s$, where $L$ is the length of the path and $ds$ is an infinitesimal line element. Bcan produce equations with no algebraic solution.

For example, consider the exponential curve $(x=s,y=e^{s})$. The removed definition above gives:

$L=\int _{0}^{L}\mathrm {d} s=\int \limits _{0}^{L}{\sqrt {1+e^{2}e^{s}}}\mathrm {d} s$

This not an algebraic equation

Perimeter of n-dimension objects

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caccioppoli_set, can we conclude that the perimeter of a cuboid is the sum of its edges?
