The above information is incorrect. The description is of a cardiovascular perfusion technologist who assist cardiopulmonary perfusionists. In North America, all perfusionists work under medical directive that allows them to administer blood products, medications, and make medical decisions using best clinical judgement.
To answer the person on the talk page about role of the perfusionist been solely responsible for the patient while on bypass was written by perfusionist that think he is a physician.
I am , in most of the countries for example ,China ,Egypt, South America, some European they are physician you can check .
