Needed Action - May 2023

[edit]

The page is fairly complete as of today, but I have not yet completely exhausted research avenues. I think there will be more information available through the Wikipedia library. I've mostly exhausted Biodiversity Heritage Library aside from a few incidental mentions. I also want to do at least one more pass on description and see if I can find a really authoritative source on blooming period. I think Ackerfield's Flora of Colorado will have that at least for Colorado, but going to other local botanic garden websites might also be productive. And I need to do an archive.org search on the former spelling of "Pentstemon" to see if I turn up anything old and interesting. As always, help appreciated but not required. Update: Mostly completed. There are two more minor cultivation sources that mention Penstemon caespitosus in the sources available through Wikipedia Library, but I suspect they won't include anything new. I've done a first look at archive.org for old sources using the outdated spelling and there is some stuff there. Some taxonomic disagreement that I'm still trying to understand. Also, this page needs someone with a better sense of style than me to perk it up and make it clearer. I'm decent at tracking stuff down, but I'm not the world's greatest writer.
