Kia ora, can you please explain why a person's driving offences MUST be included as part of their Wikipedia profile? The insistence that Mr Pem Bird's driving offences be included as part of his Wikipedia profile has racist overtones. Ngā mihi, Ira Ira Tangata (talk) 00:57, 18 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

As far as I am aware, the NZ police do not prosecute or ticket people of some races and not others for speeds of 169 km/h. I think the Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal would rarely deal with someone who offends at this level, and has over 20 driving offences, which led them to ban him from driving any student until he had completed a defensive driving course. It is likely that Bird would not have an article at all, if he had not gained a QSM and MZNM for his services, but as those make him a notable figure, then of course we will report further developments that appear in reliable sources.-Gadfium (talk) 01:44, 18 April 2026 (UTC) [Copied from User talk:Ira Tangata]Reply
