dunno. too many urban myth saying 'it's an abyss' or sumthing like that. one thing for sure, the river is deep enough for large ships to enter.Boshiaki 10:19, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Clearly, this entire article is written by someone with English as a second language, which is to say much of the syntax, tense uses, and overall construction is just a little off. The meaning is clear, but the English is slightly wrong. I will try to find some time to get into this article and fix it, and I invite anyone to attempt some rewrites as you see fit. City area
[edit]I think the city area is not accurate/wrong. How could this city be larger than Medan and almost as larger as Jakarta? this does not make sense. 155.69.2.146 (talk) 10:19, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
History
[edit]There's no mention of the Gasib Kingdom here, which I think there should be. I'm fairly sure the Sultanate of Siak didn't exist in 1605 - at least, not under that name, and not as a sultanate - but my Bahasa Indonesia isn't good enough to read the sources.
