Page title

[edit]

Many thanks to everyone who expanded this article over the past couple weeks. During the recent deletion discussion, the article was moved from Pegity to Peg'ity. While the title was initially published with the apostrophe in its name, the images at BoardGameGeek make it clear that it was dropped fairly quickly and not reinstated. Which title is more appropriate for this article: with or without the apostrophe? - Eureka Lott 05:00, 24 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Although the original title (1925) was Peg'ity, the apostrophe was dropped by 1939, and the name remained Pegity for the next 30 years. So the apostrophe was used for the first 5-15 years, and not used for the next 25-30. I would be in favour of changing the title to Pegity, with the opening words being "Pegity (originally titled Peg'ity)..." Guinness323 (talk) 07:53, 24 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
It's been over week without any additional input, so I moved the page and updated the lead. - Eureka Lott 21:29, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
