...without mentioning how this movement, started in the 1930s when European fascism was on the rise, viewed the ensuing war. Did they rail against the draft in Britain and suggest Britain not defend herself? Or did the organization keep a low profile? A2Kafir 20:11, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Were they not? According to the article, 135,000 men signed up when it was launched in 1934 but membership declined considerably in 1940. Judging by a JSTOR search, most historians who have written about the PPU focus on the 30s and WWII, which also reflects the focus of the article. It seems therefore that its greatest influence and importance was in the 1930s (when pacifism revived in the late 50s, it seems that the CND that was the main beneficiary). But if they were as important in the postwar period then I agree more should be included. Clive Bell
