  • ALT1: ... that Swiss photojournalist Paul Senn photographed the exhumation of French resistance fighters killed by the Nazis, in images unusually stark for the Swiss press?
  • Source: :Statement: Paul Senn photographed the exhumation of French resistance fighters killed by the Nazis, and the resulting images were unusually stark compared with usual Swiss press coverage of wartime atrocities.
Translation: “In 1943, he organised a journey to liberated Lyon with other Swiss journalists. There he documented, among other things, the exhumation of French resistance fighters who had been massacred by the Nazis. [...] The brutality of the photographs contrasted radically with the more restrained depiction of wartime atrocities in the Swiss press.”

  • Fine article that rescued an unsourced stub. Lots of good refs, it's neutral, new and long enough and it's interesting. Both hooks check out. The images are more than 70 years older than his death. You could have included one. (A crop of the Coney island flag group could be the basis of an alt about his colour photography.) However it's good to go. Well done. Victuallers (talk) 09:46, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
