DWI / Criminal Conviction

[edit]

The subject is a physician with high national profile. He is a pediatrician who takes care of children. His DWI case and child abuse charges made national media attention. This is a substantial and notable part of his bio and needs to be included. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.28.166.10 (talk) 15:01, 29 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Here is the source police report: [redacted] 32.142.50.118 (talk) 11:05, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
This PDF contains unredacted personal information of multiple people connected to the incident. This is doxing, and a major BLP violation. DatesAndTimes1337 (talk) 17:38, 5 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Edit to lead paragraph

[edit]

Hello! My name is Barbara and I work for UnitedHealth Group. I'm here on Wikipedia to submit edit requests and suggest improvements to articles related to the company. I've been working with editors at Talk:UnitedHealth Group, but in this case I'd like to submit a request regarding the biography of the CEO of UnitedHealth Group’s Optum subsidiary, Patrick H. Conway.

The last sentence in the lead says:

Despite his arrest for a DWI, he continues to operate as a leader influencing billions of healthcare industry dollar spend.

Issue This sentence appears to be a violation of Wikipedia’s BLP policy, which requires strict verification, neutral framing, and the immediate removal of poorly sourced or unsourced contentious material about living or recently deceased people.

Solution Since the sentence in question is non-neutral and unsourced, I am requesting that, if editors agree, it be removed from the lead.

Thank you for your consideration. Barbara at UHG (talk) 22:53, 5 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Barbara at UHG:  Done (diff) I've made the requested changes to Patrick H. Conway. Thanks for disclosing your conflict of interest and using the edit request process. Dr vulpes (Talk) 03:57, 6 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
