Lead Photo

Doesn't look like the same woman at all in the lead photo from '49. The shape of the face is completely different. I don't think it's Patricia Crowley. Looks a bit more like Kathleen Crowley but I don't think it's her either. Jump Forward Immediately (talk) 03:06, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

===Personal life=== Crowley is the daughter of Helen and Vincent Crowley, a mine foreman. Her older sister Ann Crowley is an actress and singer. In 1957, she married Edward Gregory Hookstratten, an entertainment and sports lawyer. They had two children, Jon (born 1958) and Ann (born 1960). After they divorced, she wed producer Andy Friendly in 1986. Crowley was often confused with her acting contemporary Kathleen Crowley, who appeared as the guest leading lady in different episodes of most of the same television series. The two Crowleys never appeared together, however, and were not related. Fess Parker noted in his Archive of American Television interview that there were two actresses named Crowley whom everyone was always mixing up, one tall (Pat) and one short (Kathleen), and that he was paired for one project, despite being six and half feet tall, with the shorter Crowley. In the 1950s, Crowley rotated her billing from "Patricia Crowley" to "Pat Crowley" and back again, even on some of the same television series, including Maverick.

Removal of "Patricia" and date of birth

I have removed a date of birth and "Patricia" because I cannot see that they are sourced in the article. At first glance they appeared to be supported by this source at the end of the lead. As far as I can see, however, that page does not contain her date of birth or "Patricia". Eddie Blick (talk) 01:45, 28 June 2025 (UTC)

Disputed date of birth

After I changed the date of birth as noted in the previous section, citing the revised date to an existing source, another editor changed the date with the edit summary

"No no, her sister Ann was born in 1929, she was born in 1933 it was just rumors, how is this possible both sisters in the same year?? They are not twins"

Unfortunately, the date that was added is not sourced. WP:DON'T PRESERVE is clear in saying, "Special care needs to be taken with biographies of living people, especially when it comes to handling unsourced or poorly sourced claims about the subject. Such claims should generally be removed immediately." Therefore the unsourced date cannot be left in the article.

Perhaps I have missed something, but I don't see any source in Ann Crowley to support her date of birth, either. What is the basis for saying that she was born in 1929? Eddie Blick (talk) 00:23, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
