I wonder if the variations Pasternaki and Pasternacka from Polish should be included. It is also a Polish name, not just a Russian name that some people in Poland have, I think.

PasternakPasternak (disambiguation) – I suggest redirecting Pasternak to Boris Pasternak, as I believe he is the primary topic. ~2026-33972-71 (talk) 19:26, 8 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Please see WP:DPT - the encyclopedia organizes these things based on some conventional criteria, not on individual beliefs. (Oppose)
WikiNav view of clickstreams shows no less than 15 destinations, of which Boris is the third. This entire pattern is a bit odd to see, but still interesting. All-time mass views for all linked items, when we take only the eponymous topics into account, is far from in favor of redirecting to a single entry, too. It's not clear at all why the proposal would be an improvement. --Joy (talk) 08:58, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Oppose: Boris Pasternak gets edged out on daily views by the others who share his name (including only "Pasternak", if we also allow David Pastrňák it stops being particularly close). If we only include people whose article titles end with exactly "Pasternak" (allowing others has a significant effect, not least due to David Pastrňák) Boris loses out by 481 to 561 views. ⹃Maltazarian parleyinvestigate 19:23, 15 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
