Whimsical intersection

[edit]

"Whimsical intersection"? What does that mean? It is (as of this writing), the caption on a photo on the page. Does it enhance the encyclopedia? Or is it POV? Or just hyperbole? I'd like an opinion before changing the text. -- Alexf42 11:07, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Read the book "The Tango Singer", preferably in Castilian, and you will find out that "whimsical" is a pretty good description of the point where the three major streets intersect (for a total of six streets leading away from the intersection). Buenos Aires has a number of intersections with five streets leading from the intersection, but this is the only one I remember that has six, with the nearest streets going around in circles before they reconnect with the more traditional grid.
