[edit]Suggestion: The article should have a discussion of image embossing algorithms in terms of computer graphics, and how embossing algorithms work.
The article says that embossing is done on letterpresses, which is true, but it is also done in conjunction with engraved printing. In those instances, is a letterpress also used? [edit]Parts of this article read like they were cut/pasted from a catalog or sales brochure from a print shop. It talks about the client, refers to variety and quality of paper stock, and even mentions pricing. Examples:
- "Embossing and debossing on digitally printed applications is an off-line process, which may add a significant cost to the job."
- "The greatest concern and emphasis on the client's behalf should be placed on the outcome of the embossed effect."
- "It requires a separate press run, and is priced accordingly."
