I removed the following paragraph from the "Uses" section, and am placing it here for reference: "When cutting leaves or pruning the hala tree, great care must be taken to do so properly. Leaves must be cut from below, not from top of the tree. Otherwise, the plant will quickly die and cannot be saved. <ref>personal experience of Jensin Sommer of Kailua, Hawaii.</ref>" KDS4444^Talk 12:52, 17 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
