Malaria and Yellow Fever

I am astonished to find no mention of malaria and yellow fever, and its incidence during the building of the Canal and the splendid achievements of those who e.g. virtually eradicated the mosquito population. Have I missed something, is it on a to-do list, or is there a separate page on this subject? Population never mentioned

Problem with Introduction

The current status of the Canal Zone is the information of primary concern in an article like this. That should not wait until the end of the second paragraph to be revealed to the reader.

All the information about the history is, of course, important. But the very first thing that readers learn about the Canal Zone should be its current status. Its recent history can come immediately after that.50.205.142.35 (talk) 15:19, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

@50.205.142.35: The current status of the Canal Zone is that it doesn't exist. What it was when it stopped existing is described in the first sentence.
