Remove data breach section

[edit]

The fact that there at one point was a data breach to the archive server for the project isn't exactly relevant to the article about the browser, is it? I think this sections could just be removed and keeping the article focused on what the browser is, not necessarily recounting seemingly important events in the project's history. The data breach thing is notable, because people with old installers saved somewhere on their own computers must be aware of the possible malware implications. -Mardus /talk 10:11, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Should WP:COMMONNAME apply for creator?

[edit]

I am unsure what name to use for the creator of Pale Moon. WP:COMMONNAME seems to be "Moonchild", but that's an online alias with real name being "Mark Straver", preferred form "M.C. Straver". Does COMMONNAME overrule the fact that it's an alias and if so do we use Moonchild or M.C. Straver? I have currently included both. OmegaAOLtalk? 23:40, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Also pinging User:Wolfbeast for his thoughts here and to confirm that "M.C. Straver" is his preferred form of spelling his name. OmegaAOLtalk? 23:41, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
