Current state

Palaeos Wiki has a tricky spam problem and it would be appreciated if computer experts would help. See Spam I can't deal with Proxima Centauri (talk) 09:11, 9 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

The website currently seems to be pretty much falling apart, with the main site in a strange state of suspended reorganization and almost unnavigable, while the Wiki main page is filled with Viagra advertisements... AnonMoos (talk) 01:02, 4 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
They have more or less moved the site back to the original URL of palaeos.com and abandoned the wiki format.--Mr Fink (talk) 01:06, 4 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Even leaving aside the Wiki spam problems, the main site makes it very hard to find what you're interested in unless you already know the exact technical terminology and/or sequence of ancestor clades. Its interface really needs a drastic accessibility/navigability overhaul... AnonMoos (talk) 21:45, 4 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
And they solved this problem by moving back to the original URL.--Mr Fink (talk) 00:20, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
They solved the Viagra spam problem, but don't seem to have done much about the navigability problems which make palaeos.com rather difficult to use unless you already know the relevant technical terminology in the area you're seeking information about... Toby White

[edit]

My father, Toby White, who started Palaeos is unfortunately battling a terminal cancer. I still remember posing for some of the early photoshopped images. Thank you for giving this passion project the credit it deserved for the countless hours of hard work he put into it. He hasn’t had a hand in it for a long time, but just seeing his name making a Wikipedia article made my day. ~2025-31614-80 (talk) 17:21, 6 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
