Prabably, Defense Industry Initiative needs a specific WP article, but it was born during the preparatory works of the Packard Commission, just to unburden the national legislation and to anticipate some of its measures through a sectorial self-regulation. It has been sourced in the background section.

According to this video, the Packard Commission's framework was still in force in 2015. To my modest opinion, it can be added in the external links section. The bot has reverted it automatically...
