* ... that a Judge controlled the drug trade in Dublin's north-western suburbs in the 1990s?

  • article was recently created, long enough, and within policy. QPQ isn't required. Regarding the hook, I don't find this as interesting, mostly because it relies on word play and not necessarily an interesting fact about the article. This is sometimes relaxed for April fools, but otherwise I don't see it as interesting enough. That said, would you consider:
ALT1: that "the Psycho" controlled the drug trade in Dublin's north-western suburbs in the 1990s? « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 02:22, 10 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
ALT1 sounds fair enough to me, yeah. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 12:32, 10 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
to ALT1. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 15:25, 10 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Gonzo fan2007 and Ser!: I'm not sure if this hook can work as written; "controlled the drug trade ... in the 1990s" seems misleading when he died in 1996. While it takes away some of the shortness of the hook, but:
ALT1a: ... that from the early 1990s until his death in 1996, "the Psycho" controlled the drug trade in Dublin's north-western suburbs?
seems to be more in line with what the source says. ~Darth StabroTalk  Contribs 18:19, 14 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Works for me also. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 18:22, 14 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Perfect! Let's throw this back in approved. ~Darth StabroTalk  Contribs 21:16, 14 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Gonzo fan2007 and Ser!: actually, sorry, I'm going to be a stickler again: both the wiki article and source state "Finglas, Cabra and Ballymun" but do not describe them as Dublin's north-western suburbs. While this may be true, it should be sourced; and the hook makes it sound like he controlled the drug trade in all of the northwest suburbs, rather than the three specifically names. Unfortunately it makes a less pithy hook, but
ALT1b: ... that from the early 1990s until his death in 1996, "the Psycho" controlled the drug trade in Finglas, Cabra and Ballymun?
may be the way to go unless you have a different source. ~Darth StabroTalk  Contribs 21:28, 14 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Again, also works for me. While those three essentially make up the largest points of Dublin's north-western suburbs, I understand the need for verifiability. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 21:38, 14 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
