Change to program?

[edit]

The article talks about non-French nationals needing to register and the gates using fingerprint technology.

However, I was sent to use the gates at several points in Charles de Gaule airport and as a Dutch national with the respective passport, I didn't need to register and there was no fingerprint technology (rather facial recognition by a camera).

Did the program get modified in the last 2 years? I'll have a look shortly on official websites and update the article further if necessary.

The official website from the Interior Ministry doesn't (no longer?) talks about fingerprint technology, but it does mention the cameras. I found an article from the supplier of the eGates that talks about it being all changed in 2017. Will update the wiki. Jurjenb (talk) 14:39, 5 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
